As members can see from the article below, the group most actively engaged in undermining the adult industry in Australia are boasting that they have already received over $100,000 toward their election campaign funds. ACL have an annual budget well in excess of $500,000 so for them to bring in extra campaign funds like this means they have some pretty committed supporters who are that passionate about their mission. As an industry we need to develop that same passion or these people will increase the effect they already have on politics.
www.acl.org.au ACL is excited by the response to our Federal election appeal so far. Already $100,850 has been raised towards our target of $150,000 thanks to the generosity of our supporters. This is giving us enormous confidence to proceed with plans for another Make it Count (MIC) election webcast with the Prime Minister and the Opposition Leader (subject to confirmation). Reaching our target will allow us to distribute easy-to-read comparisons of party policies affecting Christians to thousands of churches throughout Australia. It will also assist in achieving mass promotion of the Australiavotes.org website which will also carry the party responses. Exceeding our target will allow us to do even more. Our goal is to ensure every Christian in the country casts a well-informed vote at this year’s election and to help the parties understand that a large constituency is seeking better policies across a broad range of justice and righteousness issues.
